Normal short rams get some of the benefits cancelled out from being in the hot engine bay air, so its best to mate it to a cold air source. Your talking about the Comptech Icebox intake. I have it. I like it because it's quieter than the average intake. Plus because it a hybrid intake, you get the advantages of a SRI and a CAI. I used it with the stock intake arm for a while.
